James Taylor, who was found guilty of molestation in 2017 and given a life sentence, is appearing in court at 3:30 p.m. before Circuit Judge Terence Perkins in Courtroom 401 to discuss a motion to decrease his sentence.

The case of Michael Dolce, the lawyer who previously filed a suit on behalf of victims of child sexual abuse, is set for a change of plea and potential sentencing hearing before Judge Donald M. Middlebrooks at 11 a.m. in federal District Court, West Palm Beach Division. On April 4, 2023, Dolce was indicted on a count of possessing material related to child sexual abuse. Additionally, Dolce was the primary attorney in a civil lawsuit that settled out of court last month involving allegations of sexual assault in Flagler County.

The Flagler County Republican Club meets monthly at the Hilton Garden Inn, 55 Town Centre Blvd., Palm Coast. The meeting begins with a social hour at 5 p.m. and ends with business at 6 p.m. The club serves as the social branch of the Flagler County Republican Party, which has more over 40,000 registered members. Republicans only are permitted to attend meetings.

Teen Chess Club meets every week at the Flagler County Public Library for ages 9 to 18: Do you prefer to play friendly competition, experiment with new plays, or perhaps just play chess? Every Wednesday at 1:20 PM, the Circle of Light Course in Miracles study group meets at Vedic Moons, 4984 Palm Coast Parkway NW, Palm Coast, FL.
